Affiliate disclosure

GardenVerdict participates in the Amazon Associates program and other affiliate programs. When a reader buys a product through a GardenVerdict link, the site may earn a commission at no additional cost to the reader. A disclosure statement appears on every guide that contains affiliate links.

Affiliate commissions fund the research pipeline and hosting. They do not influence which products are recommended. GardenVerdict has no paid placements, no sponsored guides, and no manufacturer partnerships.

How recommendations are made

A product is recommended in a GardenVerdict guide only when there is clear community consensus in its favor across the aggregated research. When the community is genuinely split, the guide reports the split rather than inventing a winner. When a product has serious flaws that come up repeatedly in owner reviews, the guide says so.

Commission rate has no bearing on verdict. When a less expensive product outperforms a more expensive one in the research, the less expensive product gets the recommendation.

When GardenVerdict will not recommend

Not every proposed guide gets published. If the underlying community research is too thin to support a confident verdict, the article is killed before publication. The existence of a product category is not a sufficient reason to write a guide — the research has to support something worth saying.

Imagery

Product photography is sourced from official retailer listings via the Amazon Product Advertising API. Lifestyle imagery is licensed from Unsplash and Pexels. GardenVerdict does not publish AI-generated imagery of people, fabricated testing scenes, or stock photography misrepresented as original content.

Corrections

GardenVerdict corrects factual errors when they are identified. Corrections are noted at the top of the affected article with the date of the correction. Price and availability information is refreshed periodically but may lag real-time retail changes.
